Jenny Slate will co-star alongside Jack Black in the upcoming independent comedy The Polka King, EW has confirmed.

The duo behind Infinitely Polar Bear, Maya Forbes and Wally Wolodarsky, will write and direct the film, which is based on the documentary The Man Who Would be Polka King by Joshua Brown and John Mikulak. The story follows Pennsylvania polka sensation Jan Lewan, who was caught in a Ponzi scheme that he used to take fans’ investments.

Slate’s character is unknown at this time, but she has several upcoming projects including Marc Webb’s GIfted opposite Chris Evans, Brain on Fire with Chloe Grace Moretz, and My Blind Brother with Adam Scott.

Variety first reported Slate’s involvement in the project.
