When Brian Geraghty left Chicago P.D. this spring, he left Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) without a partner. But the good cop won’t fly solo for long: Quantico alum Li Jun Li will be assigned as her partner on the NBC procedural, EW confirms.

Li’s character, named Julie Tay, will make her first appearance during the season 4 premiere. Li is set for three episodes, with a series regular option.

“Very excited,” the actress shared on Twitter Wednesday. When one fan commented about the chances of her getting in the way of Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush) and Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer)’s romance, she teased, “No promises.”

Li, who played Iris Chang on the first season of Quantico, previously appeared on one episode of Chicago P.D. in 2015 in a different role.

THR first reported the casting news.

Chicago P.D. premieres on Sept. 21 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
