If there’s one thing we’ve learned over the past year or so of pop culture, it’s that celebrities really, really like to lip sync. Hugh Jackman lived the teenage dream. The casts of Agent Carter and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. faced off in an epic Dubsmash war for charity. Aziz Ansari and Retta reprised their Parks and Recreation “Treat Yo Self” scene. Lindsay Lohan revisited Mean Girls and The Parent Trap. Olivia Munn and Aaron Rodgers acted out The Princess Bride. Oh, and there’s also the inescapable omnipresence of Lip Sync Battle, which will soon begin its third season.
But no one — no one — loves Dubsmash more than the cast of Star Trek Beyond.
Over the past few weeks, various Enterprise crew members have been posting video after video, lip synching to everything from “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?” to “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, John Cho, Zachary Quinto, and Sofia Boutella have all been sharing videos from both the Star Trek set and the film’s press tour, as well as a few bittersweet clips with their 27-year-old costar Anton Yelchin, who suddenly died last month.
Here, EW has gathered a few of the best Trek Dubsmashes for your viewing pleasure. (Our personal favorites include Pegg reenacting This Is Spinal Tap and a goofy but touching video of Yelchin singing along to the Backstreet Boys.)
