You get a dragon! You get a dragon! Everybody gets a dragon!

Technically, there’s only one dragon to go around, but in a new clip from Disney’s upcoming live-action fairy tale Pete’s Dragon, everybody gets a chance to see a dragon and draw their own conclusion about the titular beast.

In EW’s exclusive new clip, all eyes are on Elliott when Pete (Oakes Fegley) decides it’s time to introduce his newest friends (who find him alone in the forest) to his oldest one: his giant, green, flying dragon pal, who befriended orphaned Pete long ago as a toddler.

The scene is a formative one in director David Lowery’s hypnotic remake of the 1977 film. After Pete spills the secret to inquisitive Natalie (Oona Laurence), skeptical park ranger Grace (Bryce Dallas Howard), and an old-timer who may or may not have met Elliott before (Robert Redford), the action in Pete’s Dragon takes an exciting turn, once the cat is out of the bag. Well, the dragon.
