Mike Tyson on board for prankster comedy Public Disturbance
Australian YouTubers the Janoskians headline the Lionsgate film
Mike Tyson is ready for a ruckus.
The former heavyweight boxing champ has joined the cast of Public Disturbance, a prankster comedy starring Australian YouTube troupe the Janoskians, Lionsgate announced Tuesday.
Tyson is to play a famous media mogul whose daughter is getting an over-the-top birthday bash, at which the Janoskians are scheduled to perform. When their act gets canceled at the last minute, the jokesters decide to hijack the party to liven things up.
The Janoskians consist of elder brother Beau Brooks, twins Luke and Jai Brooks, and best friend Daniel Sahyounie. Their moniker stands for Just Another Name of Silly Kids in Another Nation.
Public Disturbance, which started shooting Tuesday, also stars Bobby Lee, Skyler Samuels, Amber Stevens West, Joey Lawrence, and Dillon Francis. Danny Lee is directing from a script by Dan Ahdoot, Don Deleon, Paul Davidson, and Tommy Honton.
Tyson’s recent film credits include Ip Man 3, Meet the Blacks, and Back in the Day, and he’ll also be seen in the upcoming Kickboxer sequel.
