There are always more monsters in Gotham, so before we catch up with the Gotham cast at Saturday’s Comic-Con panel, allow us to refresh your memory on where season 2 wound up and what we already know about season 3.

Where we left off: Hugo Strange’s greatest fear came true: The monsters of Indian Hill were released on the city, including one that looked an awful lot like Bruce Wayne. Also on the loose? A more-powerful-than-ever Fish Mooney. So it’s a good thing — or rather, a very, very bad thing — that Gordon ended the season by leaving the city to go find (and win back) Lee.

What we know about season 3: According to the season 3 poster, this season is all about the Court of Owls, which was introduced in season 2 as the secret council running Wayne Enterprises (and therefore all of Gotham). In terms of casting, the show has added Jamie Chung as Valerie Vale, James Carpinello as Mario Falcone, Benedict Samual as Mad Hatter, and Maggie Geha as an adult Poison Ivy.

Comic-Con burning question: Anything and everything having to do with that Bruce Wayne clone!

Gotham season 3 premieres Monday, Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.

Ben McKenzie and David Mazouz star in a dramatic look at what Gotham City looked like before Bruce Wayne became Batman.
