Life-like graphics and design is great and all, but sometimes it’s just more fun for gamers to immerse themselves in the simple, 8-bit nostalgia of virtual adventures of the past. Nintendo is about to make your digital trip back to the ’80s a lot easier by re-releasing an updated classic NES system this fall.
While the Nintendo Entertainment System was the gaming company’s first console-based platform, the new system will come pre-loaded with 30 of its classic games, including Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Donkey Kong Jr. The new system will also be a miniature size, able to fit on the palm of a hand.
The NES re-release will begin on Nov. 1, a little over 31 years since the NES was originally released in North America in Sept. of 1985.
