Original Magic Mike star Alex Pettyfer may have sat out last year’s XXL sequel, but he still knows how to shake it.

It’s been four years since Pettyfer starred opposite Channing Tatum in the big-screen saga of male strippers, and since then, “The Kid” has co-founded a recommendations app called Hypit. But his new coworkers haven’t forgotten his dancing past, and in a new video, they surprise Pettyfer by blasting Ginuwine’s “Pony” — while he breaks out a few of his Magic moves.

“When you’re working late at night and your team decide to bring up the past!!!” Pettyfer wrote on Instagram, adding the hashtags #imissthosedays and #littlerusty.

Pettyfer and Tatum didn’t get along during production on Magic Mike, and last year, Pettyfer opened up about his behavior on set and his clash with Tatum over a rent dispute. “Channing Tatum does not like me, and for many reasons — many being my own fault,” he said in November.

As a result, Pettyfer didn’t return for the XXL-sized sequel, and Tatum has said there are no plans for a Magic Mike 3. Still, Mike and his magic will be returning to the stage next year with the upcoming Magic Mike Live show in Las Vegas — and Tatum has said to expect “a lot of crazy cameos.” And based on his latest Instagram video, Pettyfer clearly still has the moves.
