Lip Sync Battle app to let fans make music videos
The interactive app will drop this fall
Lip Sync Battle is getting its own app, which Spike will launch to coincide with the season 3 premiere of the show.
The interactive release will allow fans to experience the world of the show by competing in their own lip sync battles, Spike TV said in a press release Monday. Users can film their musical performances, share them, and challenge other players.
The app will allow competitors to choose a song from any genre and then shoot and edit a music video, adding custom filters and special effects. Videos can be shared on social media, including Facebook and Twitter. The goal is to accrue “likes” from the community and climb up the leaderboard toward lip sync stardom.
Luckily, fans have some time convert their bedrooms into music video set before the app launches, as the third season premieres later this fall.
