Life of the Party: Melissa McCarthy, Ben Falcone comedy gets release date
Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone will get the party started on May 11, 2018.
New Line has set a release date for Life of the Party, parent studio Warner Bros. announced Friday. The husband-wife duo wrote the script, and McCarthy will star while Falcone handles directorial duties. Both will produce.
Love and Community actress Gillian Jacobs will also star in the comedy as a sorority girl, EW confirms. Plot details are scarce, but the project has been compared to Rodney Dangerfield’s 1986 comedy Back to School.
May 2018 promises to be a busy month at the box office; currently, the unnamed young Han Solo movie, The Avengers: Infinity War Part 1, and How to Train Your Dragon 3 are all on the docket.
McCarthy just busted into theaters Friday with the Ghostbusters reboot, along with Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones.
