Hillary Clinton’s line reference to Pokémon Go on Thursday induced a set of eye rolls for its cheesiness.

“I don’t know who created Pokémon Go,” she said, “but I’m trying to figure out how we get them to have Pokémon Go to The Polls.”

The Full Frontal with Samantha Bee Twitter account leapt to mock the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee by making a pair of Veep references. The show shared the Clinton clip, followed by President Selina Meyer’s (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) daughter, Catherine (Sarah Sutherland), saying “Stop. Mom, seriously?” Full Frontal captioned the video with “Please fire Mike,” a reference to the Meyer administration’s inept press secretary.

Someone took exception to this: Matt Walsh, who plays Mike on the show. “Mike McClintock stands by that Pokemon joke,” he replied to the video. “It’s a home run !”

Given his usual inattentiveness and smartphone use, Mike playing some kind of Pokémon Go-like game in season 6 of the hit HBO comedy is in the cards.
