Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump has postponed his planned Friday announcement of his vice presidential running mate after a truck ran into a Bastille Day crowd in Nice, France, killing dozens.

“In light of the horrible attack in Nice, France, I have postponed tomorrow’s news conference concerning my Vice Presidential announcement,” Trump tweeted Thursday night.

The truck, reportedly filled with weapons, ran into a crowd of people observing the annual firework show on France’s national holiday; more than 70 people have been confirmed killed in the attack, according to The New York Times.

Reports indicate Trump will ultimately announce Indiana Governor Mike Pence as his running mate, but that has not been confirmed.
