StartUp, a new drama starring Martin Freeman and Adam Brody, is set to premiere Tuesday, Sept. 6, on Crackle, the streaming service announced Wednesday. The 10-episode first season follows a trio of tech geniuses being hunted down by a shady FBI agent.
Freeman plays FBI Agent Phil Rask as he investigates GenCoin, a controversial, tech-currency idea masterminded by three strangers, played by Adam Brody (The O.C.), Otmara Marrero (Graceland), and Edi Gathegi (The Blacklist). The series also stars Wayne Knight (Seinfeld) and Aaron Yoo (21).
StartUp is written and directed by Ben Ketai (Chosen), who also serves as executive producer alongside Tom Forman, Andrew Marcus, Ray Ricord, Gianni Nunnari, and Shannon Gaulding.
