Ahead of his final Hamilton performance on Friday, Daveed Diggs said goodbye to Wednesday’s Ham4Ham crowd with some heartfelt words — and some dabbing.

In the first Ham4Ham lottery performance since the departure of creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda, Rory O’Malley, who plays King George III, made his debut as emcee. “No, it’s not Lin-Manuel Miranda, it’s Rory O’Malley,” he sarcastically said to the crowd. He then brought out Hamilton personnel to help with a dabbing contest featuring fans. “I’ve got dabbing fever,” O’Malley joked.

After the fans showed off their enthusiastic moves, Diggs, who recently won a Tony Award for playing both Thomas Jefferson and Marquis de Lafayette, emerged to thank the crowd (and dab, of course).

“I f—ing love y’all,” he said. “Thank you so much everybody who has been a part of making this the most incredible few years of my life. It has been such an honor to perform for y’all.”

Diggs is just the most recent Hamilton original to depart, as last Saturday was the final show for Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr., and Phillipa Soo.
