Aerosmith and Hollywood Vampires guitarist Joe Perry is in “stable” condition after being hospitalized in New York on Sunday night.

Perry was forced to leave the Hollywood Vampires concert at Coney Island in Brooklyn, New York after falling ill on stage. Video of Perry leaving the stage was posted on Instagram; he reportedly passed out backstage according to concert attendees.

“Thanks to everyone asking about our brother [Joe Perry],” lead singer Alice Cooper tweeted on Sunday night. “He is stable right now, with family & is under the best care.”

Perry’s Twitter account also posted a status update about the 65-year-old, echoing Cooper’s tweet: “Thanks to all of the fans reaching out and asking about Joe. He is stable right now, with family and is under the best care.”

The band’s representative told the Associated Press that Perry was “stable and resting.”

Perry, one of the founding members of Aerosmith, has toured this summer with Hollywood Vampires. The band also includes star Johnny Depp.
