Hollywood Vampires: Late Show appearance canceled after Joe Perry collapse

Hollywood Vampires have canceled their late-night debut following Joe Perry’s collapse during a Brooklyn show Sunday night.

The rock supergroup — made up of Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper, and Perry — were originally slated to appear on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Monday night, but Perry fell ill during their weekend performance at Coney Island, reportedly passing out backstage. Video of Perry leaving the stage was later posted on Instagram.

Both Cooper and Perry’s Twitter accounts have since confirmed that the 65-year-old guitarist is stable. “Thanks to everyone asking about our brother [Joe Perry],” Cooper wrote Sunday. “He is stable right now, with family & is under the best care.”

The band’s Late Show musical guest spot will be filled by Blink-182, who are supporting California, their first new album in five years. Hollywood Vampires are currently in the midst of their first U.S. tour. They will continue their tour as scheduled with their next performance on July 12 in Kettering, Ohio, the band’s rep tells EW, stating, “Joe Perry will rejoin his fellow Vampires on stage again soon.”
