Aubrey Plaza is opening up about her sexuality.

In a recent interview with Advocate magazine, the Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates star revealed that she falls in love with both men and women.

“I know I have an androgynous thing going on, and there’s something masculine about my energy. Girls are into me – that’s no secret,” Plaza, 32, said.

“Hey, I’m into them too. I fall in love with girls and guys. I can’t help it.”

The actress also described her relationship with the LGBT community, a group she calls “[her] people.” At age 12, Plaza discovered community theater where she spent a “huge part” of her life performing plays. “There was this gay community there that really welcomed me. All my friends were gay,” she recalled.

And Plaza’s family as well. “I have a gay aunt and a gay uncle, and I grew up thinking that everyone had a gay aunt or uncle. My younger sister is a lesbian, so it’s just in my blood, I guess,” she said.

As for her own following of LGBT fans, the former Parks and Recreation star is aware of what she means to them and what they mean to her.

“It makes sense to me. I feel like I operate in an old-school way that only gays truly understand. So for me it’s the ultimate compliment,” Plaza explained. “My tastes are like an older gay man’s, and I think that’s who I really am. Like, I grew up obsessed with Judy Garland, and I was also obsessed with how much she meant to her following.”
