Ticket resellers are not throwing away their shot to get rich by hawking tickets to Lin-Manuel Miranda’s final performance in Hamilton. The highest asking price for the coveted July 9 show comes in at $40,000 for a pair of tickets ($20,000 each) on StubHub. And with that, the world turned upside down.

Other lower but still inflated prices include $15,174 for two ($7,587 each) on Ticketmaster and the lowest of the bunch, $5,400 for 2 ($2,700 each) on Craigslist. Prices for regular Hamilton tickets start at $139, but are perpetually sold out, hence the resale market.

July 9 will also be the final performance for Leslie Odom, Jr. and Phillipa Soo. It must be nice to have tickets for what is sure to be an emotional night.
