The prodigal son is returning!

Two-time Daytime Emmy nominee Michael Graziadei is returning to The Young and the Restless to reprise his role as Daniel Romalotti Jr., EW has learned exclusively.

Producers from the CBS sudser won’t release details on what brings the beloved character back to Genoa City, but his return will coincide with Y&R’s 11,000th episode on Sept. 1. 

Graziadei will appear for a limited run beginning Aug. 25. His character is the adopted son of Danny Romalotti, who was played by Michael Damian. His mother is Phyllis Abbott, played by Gina Tognoni. 

Since leaving the CBS soap in 2013, Graziadei headlined the Lifetime drama series The Lottery and had a recurring role on the series Kingdom. He is currently playing a recurring role on the Amazon series Good Girls Revolt.

The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS.
