Gifted, a new film from director Marc Webb ((500) Days of Summer, The Amazing Spider-Man) has set an opening date. The Fox Seachlight project will hit theaters on April 12, 2017.

The film stars real-life couple Chris Evans and Jenny Slate, alongside Octavia Spencer, Lindsay Duncan, and Mckenna Grace. The story is set in a coastal town in Florida and follows Frank (Evans), a single man raising his 7-year-old niece, Mary (Grace), who has advanced mathmatical abilities. Frank wants Mary to have a normal school experience, but his mother (Duncan) has other plans.

Spencer plays Roberta, Frank and Mary’s landlady and friend, while Slate plays Mary’s teacher Bonnie, who looks out for her and “develops a connection” with Frank.

Gifted is written by Tom Flynn. Evans was seen most recently in Captain America: Civil War, while Slate was part of the voice cast for Disney’s animated hit Zootopia.
