Carly Pope joins 'Arrow' in recurring role

Carly Pope will be bringing a well-known comic book character to life in the upcoming fifth season of Arrow, EW has confirmed. The Popular actress will play Susan Williams, a reporter new to Star City with an investigative interest in Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell).
DC Comics fans may recognize the character as the wife of Jim Jordan, the younger brother of the Green Lantern, Hal Jordan. Fans speculated about a nod to the Green Lantern in the season 4 premiere, and this casting may fuel the theory that Jordan may make an appearance.
The Arrow role isn’t the only recurring part Pope has recently landed — she’s also nabbed a guest role in the upcoming season of Suits.
The actress joins an ever-expanding list of new and returning characters in season 5, including Chad L. Coleman as a new villain; Madison McLaughlin, who will reprise her role as Evelyn Sharp; Tyler Ritter as new cop Detective Malone; Rick Gonzalez, who will play Wild Dog; and Josh Segarra, who will take up the mantle of the Vigilante.
Arrow returns Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
