Kanye West's 'Famous' music video to air on E!
No Tidal subscription? No problem! Kanye West’s controversial new music video for his song “Famous” will make its broadcast television debut on E! News Monday night, followed by a reaction from the rapper’s wife, Kim Kardashian West.
West first released the video late Friday night at a viewing party in Los Angeles. In the three days since it dropped, the visuals of various celebrities lying naked next to one another have caused quite a stir online. Lena Dunham voiced her concerns with the video, calling it “disturbing,” and West provoked detractors with a now-deleted tweet asking to be sued over the piece.
Even before its music video, “Famous” was a source of intense celebrity contention. When Kanye premiered the track earlier this year, one lyric about Taylor Swift stuck out above all else: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous.” Swift responded that she was offended by the line’s “strong misogynistic message,” while West claimed that Swift had approved the song prior to its release.
The song’s video has been exclusively available on Tidal since Friday, but non-subscribers can watch it on E! News Monday at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET.
