Frozen songwriter teams with Pitch Perfect music director for In Transit
Kristen Anderson-Lopez, the Academy Award winning co-writer behind “Let It Go,” has teamed up with Pitch Perfecta cappella maestro Deke Sharon for the new a cappella musical In Transit, debuting this fall on Broadway.
In Transit tells the interweaving stories of 11 New Yorkers dealing with the highs and lows of success, love and happiness in the Big Apple. Casting has yet to be announced, but it promises to be a unique musical bringing to life a “vivid tapestry” of characters and music.
The musical will be produced by Janet B. Rosen and directed and choreographed by Tony winner Kathleen Marshall (Anything Goes). Anderson-Lopez teamed up with James-Allen Ford, Russ Kaplan, and Sara Wordsworth for the book, music and lyrics. Sharon will provide the vocal arrangements, with musical supervision by Rick Hip-Flores (Rocky).
In Transit opens at the Circle in the Square Theatre this fall.
