We’re used to angelic choruses, soaring high notes, and the casual F-bomb coming from Adele’s mouth, but the world has yet to hear anything quite like this before: This weekend, the 28-year-old London native burped while taking a fan selfie during her Glastonbury set.

Adele, who headlined the Pyramid stage Saturday night at the annual U.K. music festival, brought a superfan to the stage for a quick photo, which turned into an unplanned exchange neither of them anticipated.

“Do you want me to do it?” the singer asked, taking the fan’s cell phone, extending her arm, and posing for the photo. Everything seemed fine, until the singer let out a subtle belch as she stood cheek-to-cheek with the girl. She exclaimed, “Oh my God, I just burped!” ahead of launching into her signature cackle before hugging the fan and sending her back into the crowd.

“I had a dirty burger before I came on, that’s why,” the performer said as she continued her 90-minute set, which also included drinking tea and swearing on live television (BBC broadcast the event) on top of performances of signature hits, including “Someone Like You,” with the help of the 160,000-strong audience.

“This is the best f—ing moment of my whole life,” she exclaimed onstage. “Glastonbury means the world to me. I’ve always wanted to do this my whole life, but I was too scared.”

Adele’s live antics continue stateside later this summer when she kicks off the North American leg of the Adele Live 2016 tour July 5 in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
