Demi Lovato returns to social media 24 hours after quitting: ‘I’m back b—es'
Singer had previous quit Instagram, Twitter with the message, 'I gotta quit saying s—'
UPDATE: On Tuesday afternoon, Lovato reappeared with a new Tweet: “F— this.. I’m back bitches. And I’m coming back more honest than ever.”
EARLIER: Demi Lovato‘s social media feeds have gone “Stone Cold.”
The singer penned a series of tweets Monday announcing that she will no longer be using Twitter or Instagram — although she will continue to use Snapchat because, unlike most other social media platforms, there is no space for negative comments on the photo-sharing app.
“Damn I gotta quit sayin s—. Bye Twitter,” Lovato tweeted Monday afternoon, adding, “And insta.”
The 23-year-old continued: “I like snapchat cause I don’t have to see what some of y’all say. Follow me if you want: theddlovato.”
Shortly after these messages, she sent a few more criticizing the cyberbullying and negativity on her and others’ pages.
“But why do people actually give a f— what I say?? like if you don’t care the gtfo haha,” she wrote. “That one time I started my own charity providing mental health care for people who can’t afford it and this is what y’all talk about … and people wonder what’s wrong with the world. Pay more attention to good than bad.”
The last post on Lovato’s Instagram account is from earlier Monday and is an advertisement for her Devonne by Demi line of skincare products.
“This hasn’t been an easy year for Demi,” an insider told PEOPLE shortly after the breakup, but “she’s making sure to surround herself with family and friends.”
