“We’re running out of time,” Shay Mitchell says in this exclusive Pretty Little Liars preview video. “There’s an urgency to this.” While she’s referring to the season premiere’s ticking countdown clock as the girls try to find Hanna, she might as well be talking about the series in a larger sense.

“Season 7 is unlike any other season because it’s the end of PLL as we know it,” Lucy Hale says.

To be clear, that doesn’t necessarily mean the show is ending — just that the Uber A story is concluding at the end of season 7, as showrunner Marlene King has said on Twitter.

While King has been calling this the “season of homecomings” — and, with Lindsey Shaw, Drew Van Acker, Brant Daugherty, and Tammin Sursok returning, she’s not kidding — Mitchell is still touting the “season of answers.”

“I also think that it’s going to be the most romantic season thus far,” she adds.

“Definitely a lot of love triangles, a lot of characters are sort of speaking their truths and sharing their feelings that they’ve had for several years,” Troian Bellisario teases.

Pretty Little Liars returns Tuesday, June 21 at 8 p.m. on Freeform.
