We’ve already seen the new Ghostbusters cast get slimed by ghosts in the trailers for the upcoming reboot, but when Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon stopped by The Graham Norton Show recently, they had the opportunity to get a little revenge on their director.

Paul Feig made a surprise appearance on the show, where he issued a musical challenge to his stars — and mocked the sexist outrage over the new film.

“Since we are all in the business of ruining men’s childhoods, Kristen and Melissa came up with this way to really enrage men, which would be to do the folk lady version of ‘Ghostbusters,’” he told them.

Wiig and McCarthy agreed to perform their offbeat rendition of the theme song, if — and only if — Feig would agree to get covered in a thick layer neon-green slime. He graciously accepted, and Wiig and McCarthy launched into a bizarre, folk-y version of Ray Parker Jr.’s iconic song. Their task completed, they pulled a lever and drenched Feig (and his nice suit) in slime.
