Kanye West’s infamous comments about George W. Bush, made in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, don’t preclude Kim Kardashian, West’s wife, from being a fan of the former president.

Kardashian’s fondness for Bush is revealed in a new GQ interview with the reality star, which included an anecdote about a game of F—, Marry, Kill, between President Barack Obama, Bush and former president Bill Clinton. “I’m marrying Barack, I’m f—ing Bill, and I’m killing George,” Kardashian’s friend is quoted as saying in the piece, to which Kim responds, “But I love George.”

She goes on to explain the attraction: “I just think he’s cute. Like a cute little president…” she says. “And the [Bush] kids sent us a baby gift.”

The comments were made in a video for her app and later edited out, as Kardashian noted, because of “Kanye’s history with George.”

Back in 2005, during a telethon to support victims of Hurricane Katrina, West went off-script and slammed both Bush and the media’s coverage of the natural disaster in New Orleans.

“I hate the way they portray us in the media. If you see a black family, it says they’re looting; see a white family, it says they’re looking for food. And, you know, it’s been five days… because most of the people are black,” West said. He later added, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”
