Fred Armisen prides himself on being able to affect any accent. Well, almost any.

During an appearance on Wednesday’s episode of Conan, host Conan O’Brien had Armisen show off his well-documented strength at mimicking various inflections from around the globe. (Armisen previously attempted the trick on a more local level, focusing on Southern accents, during a January appearance on The Tonight Show.)

Things started off well, with Armisen apparently acing impressions of people from Minsk, Hamburg, and Fargo, North Dakota. It was only when O’Brien asked Armisen to do a Jamaican accent that the wheels came off.

“We found his weakness,” O’Brien said as Armisen made weak attempts at trying the accent (“jerk chicken”).

“Jamaica,” Armisen said with a mix of resignation and amusement. Watch below.
