If Dory’s motto is “just keep swimming,” Ellen DeGeneres’ is “just keep asking” — for a sequel.

The voice of Finding Nemo‘s forgetful but determined blue tang has been lobbying Pixar for a follow-up for the last 13 years or so, and on Friday she finally gets her wish in the form of Finding Dory.

In a preview clip from Friday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, DeGeneres celebrates the release of her new movie with a supercut of all the times she cajoled for it on air, and needless to say she was pretty persuasive.

“I’m so happy the day is finally here,” DeGeneres says in the clip. “When you’ve been waiting for something so long, it’s actually a little strange when it finally arrives. It’s like, I guess, when you’re waiting for your wedding day or results of a pregnancy test, only this is much more important.”

Watch the clip above. Finding Dory opens Friday.
