The nominees for Best Revival of a Musical at this year’s Tony Awards include She Loves Me, The Color Purple, Spring Awakening, and Fiddler on the Roof. Before that cast took the stage at the Beacon Theatre on Sunday night for a performance, host James Corden treated everyone to a different Fiddler rendition — presenter Josh Groban doing a song from the musical as a 17-year-old in high school.
“Thank you, arts education,” Groban said as he took the stage for his intro. “So that just happened on the Tony Awards.”
Groban will be making his Broadway debut this fall in Natasha, Pierre, & The Great Comet of 1812.
