Maya & Marty got a taste of “Myra & Trina” Tuesday night. Maya Rudolph brought her pal Tina Fey — along with a pair of really high stools — onstage for a sketch.

After the Sisters costars struggled to get to their seats on said stools and commented on their thin, old school variety show microphones, the pair performed a medley of songs that began simply enough with a straight rendition of Dionne Warwick’s “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again.” But then things took a turn for the better? Worse? Certainly funnier. Captain and Tennille’s “Love Will Keep Us Together” got a Charo spin, and Fey taught Rudolph how to turn anything into a Joni Mitchell song.

“It’s actually really easy — if you ever want to make up a Joni Mitchell song, all you have to do is mention a place in Canada and then say something about a baby,” Fey said.

After honoring the funny ladies who came before them, especially Vicki Lawrence, the pair attempted to get down from their high seats while singing Aretha Franklin’s “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” and that is something to see. You can watch it in the clip below.
