'Criminal Minds' adds Adam Rodriguez as series regular

A veteran of the CSI franchise is joining Criminal Minds.

Former CSI: Miami actor Adam Rodriguez is coming on board the 12th season of Minds as a series regular.

Rodriguez (who more recently has also had roles in the Magic Mike films, along with Jane the Virgin and Empire) will play a special agent who is a member of the FBI Fugitive Task Force and joins the Behavioral Analysis Unit.

The move comes following the exit of Criminal Minds veteran Shemar Moore, who departed the series last season.
