It’s about to get hot in James Corden’s car as the Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to take a ride with the late-night host for Carpool Karaoke.
EW has confirmed that the legendary band will be featured in the popular segment from CBS’ The Late Late Show. The group’s appearance on the June 13 episode comes only days before the Chili Peppers drop their 11th album, The Getaway, on June 17.
The band is just the latest musical act to join Corden in the videos that have become viral sensations. Earlier this week, ahead of his hosting gig at the Tony Awards, Corden was joined by Hamilton star and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and more Broadway favorites. Other recent guests have included Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, and Gwen Stefani.
While it seems that every famous musician is finding their way into Corden’s car, he previously told EW that it wasn’t always so easy. “The person that was hardest to convince to do Carpool was basically everyone before Mariah Carey said yes. No one would do it,” he said. “You understand why they’d say no. It’s a weird ask.”
The Chili Peppers appearance on The Late Late Show was first reported by Rolling Stone.
