Samantha Bee asks Jon Stewart for help with a horse

Ever since his retirement from The Daily Show last year, Jon Stewart has shown little interest in jumping back into the comedy-news game, even as Donald Trump’s rise took the presidential election further and further into absurdity. And yet there he was on Monday’s episode of Full Frontal, answering a question from former protégé Samantha Bee.

“Anything you need, you know you can always call me,” Stewart said. “I’m so happy to be here.”

However, Bee’s question wasn’t about covering Trump or the intricacies of the modern news cycle. She just wanted to know what to do with a tiny horse that popped up in her office. She asked her former mentor to take the animal to his “massage farm,” which he reassured her was actually just an animal rescue farm — “feeding and water.” Nevertheless, Bee left him to deal with the office horse, at which point Stewart did briefly dip back into politics.

“Let me ask you a question,” Stewart said to the horse. “You’re white. Are you voting for Trump?” Watch the clip below.
