Like many, Adele loves her Spice Girls. During a recent concert, the Grammy-winning singer earned cheers after taking a brief moment to sing “Spice Up Your Life.”

Melanie “Sporty Spice” Chisholm posted fan-shot video of the moment to Twitter, while Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) tweeted, “Go, [Adele].”

During an appearance on James Corden’s The Late Late Show, Adele performed a Carpool Karaoke rendition of “Wannabe” and explained her love for the ’90s girl group.

“It was a huge moment in my life when they came out,” she said. “It was ‘Girl Power’ and there were these five ordinary girls who just, like, did so well and just like, got out. So I was like, ‘I want to get out. I don’t know what I want to get out of, but I want to get out,’ and it was a really important period of my life.”

Adele also told Vogue during an interview, “People always think I joke about this, but the Spice Girls blew up when I was seven, and seeing them coming from a humble background — there was hope in it. It was really a massive part of my life when the whole Girl Power thing happened.”
