Hopkins and Wahlberg, together at last.

Anthony Hopkins keeps busy, shuttling between the big-budget Thor tentpoles and human-sized projects like his recent Ian McKellan collaboration The Dresser, not to mention his lead role in the upcoming HBO series Westworld. And now the Oscar winner is joining the cast of next year’s Transformers: The Last Knight, the fifth film in the ever-expanding franchise about ever-expanding cars that are robots from space.

The film series announced the news Friday, welcoming Hopkins to the Transformers universe in messages on its social media channels. Apparently Hopkins will be playing an on-screen character and not merely voicing an alien robot, although feel free to start speculating about how cool Hopkins’ voice would sound emanating out of a cosmic all-consuming robo-planet.

The Last Knight arrives on June 23, 2017.
