Welcome to the Spoiler Room, a safe place for spoiler addicts to come on a weekly basis to learn what’s coming next on their favorite shows and, hopefully, get a few of their own questions answered. If you want scoop on a specific show, send your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Any scoop on Game of Thrones? — Taylor
Much of the action this week takes place in Riverlands as the Starks scramble to lock up various houses of support, while Cersei tries desperately to hold onto her rapidly diminishing power in King’s Landing. Also: Expect at least one big reunion.
I didn’t read Diana Gabaldon’s books but I’m watching Outlander season 2 now, which is based on her second book, titled Dragonfly in Amber. What? What on earth does that mean? — Ginny
I’d explain it to you, but turns out I don’t have to: Claire Fraser will take care of that in Saturday’s episode “Je Suis Prest.” Hint: it has something to do with her 20th century war memories and how she felt like she didn’t do enough for the soldiers on the front lines.
UnREAL is almost back! Where’s the scoop? — Jana
Rachel makes some decisions right off the bat that prove she’s become the new Quinn and then some — to the point where even Quinn has some reservations over her capabilities. And just when you thought the ladies would rule the world, Chet returns. Suffice it to say, he’s not going to give up his show that easily.
What do you have for The Americans finale? — Paul
Stan finally learns a Jennings secret — but it’s probably not the one you’re expecting. Also, Agent Gaad’s recent death has major consequences for Arkady and the Rezidentura. Oh, and we’ll meet a new, but familiar face.
Are we going to meet Jo Wilson’s abusive husband on Grey’s Anatomy next season? — Micah
That’s still TBD, but if we do, he’s certainly going to bring out a new side in the woman formerly known as Jo. “Relationships like that are really, really complicated,” Camilla Luddington tells me. “It’s not about necessarily being a strong woman or not being a strong woman, it’s about someone being a master manipulator within that relationship. I think she feels powerless when she was with him, and then she finally had a moment where she got to be free of him. I do question whether if he showed up again would that be how she feels? Obviously she’s terrified.”
Anything McGarrett and Danno for Hawaii Five-0 next season? — Kevin
Danny saving McGarrett’s life will provide even more comedy in season 7. “It brings Danny and McGarrett even closer together and it gives them another thing to be arguing about next year,” EP Peter M. Lenkov says. “I love the idea that McGarrett is going to abuse that organ, because McGarrett is a person who abuses himself and puts his life in danger all the time. Danny is going to resent the fact that he saved his life because of that. These guys are blood brothers, but now literally they are.”
Have we seen the last of Luna on The 100? — Deirdre
Eliza Taylor certainly hopes not. “Personally, I would love to see her come back,” she says. “Nadia [Hilker] is such a beautiful, intriguing actress, and Luna is such a great character. There’s a lot more we could do with her for sure.”
Anything on the new season of Rizzoli & Isles? — Carly
The premiere picks up in the aftermath of the show’s own version of the Red Wedding, with Jane on the hunt for Alice Sands. But Jane’s rage is only compounded by some heartbreaking news that comes as a result of the shooting.
Will Scream introduce Troy James this season? — Mitchell
Yes and no. Brandon James’ brother “is alive,” according to EP Michael Gans. “He is coming back, but he is not physically in the season.” Make of that what you will.
Do you know what Titan is on 12 Monkeys? — Tina
I promise that you will find out about (and even see) Titan before season’s end. “Titan is a place,” EP Terry Matalas teases. “When the Witness was in Cassie’s head, she seems to have been in his, and she saw a place where the Witness feels safe, and that place is called Titan.”
Best news I’ve heard all week: Can HBO just make the Deadwood movie already?!
Additional reporting by Shirley Li, Lynette Rice, and Dalene Rovenstine.
