Donald Glover: Atlanta FX series reveals teaser, September premiere
Donald Glover is ready to walk it out in the streets of Atlanta.
On Thursday, FX released the first teaser for the upcoming series, which reveals the premiere will drop some time this September. Created by and starring Glover, the 10-episode Atlanta focuses on two cousins with opposing views, Earn (Glover) and Alfred (Brian Tyree Henry), as they climb the ladder of the city’s hip-hop scene.
Rounding out the cast are Lakeith Lee Stanfield (Dope) as Alfred’s right-hand man Darius, plus Zazie Beetz (Applesauce) as Van, who is caught up in a complicated relationship with Earn.
“Atlanta draws on Donald’s considerable talents as a musician, actor, and writer to give us something unique,” Nick Grad, FX’s president of original programming, said in a previous statement.
