Lifetime is giving another rose to UnREAL. Four days before the critically acclaimed drama’s second season premieres, the network announced that it has ordered a third season of the series.

UnREAL centers on Rachel (Shiri Appleby) and Quinn (Constance Zimmer), two producers on a The Bachelor-esque dating competition program called Everlasting. In its first season, the dark drama took on hard-hitting issues like sexual identity and mental health, and executive producer Sarah Gertrude Shapiro intends to take on issues such as race in media and men’s rights activism in season 2. Season 1 earned the show a Peabody Award, a Critic’s Choice Award, and an American Film Institute Award.

Season 3 is set for a 2017 release, and will consist of 10 episodes, the same amount as seasons 1 and 2. The second season of UnREAL will premiere on Monday, June 6 at 10 p.m. ET on Lifetime.

Episode Recaps

UnREAL

The Lifetime drama — created by Marti Noxon and Sarah Gertrude Shapiro and featuring Shiri Appleby and Constance Zimmer — explores the dark behind-the-scenes nature of a reality dating show (which is very clearly based on 'The Bachelor').
