Following in the footsteps of Saturday Night Live, Maya & Marty isn’t afraid to poke fun at its sister NBC shows. Martin Short and Maya Rudolph’s new variety show did just that in its premiere Tuesday, recreating Steve Harvey’s family-friendly hit Little Big Shots — except this version wasn’t so cute.

Donning long red wigs with bangs — a look you’re more likely to find in a Pippi Longstocking movie than on a playground in 2016 — Short and guest star Jimmy Fallon were the Sizzle twins. The brothers have a brand of humor that really irks Harvey, played by SNL star and Maya & Marty regular Kenan Thompson.

“Oh, y’all love each other — that’s nice,” he says as the boys giggle and intertwine limbs.

Soon, the twins are dancing and shaking on the floor. “Oh lord,” says Thompson’s Harvey, already overwhelmed. But the real surprise comes when they turn away from the audience and start spraying the stage. “Y’all can’t do that on TV,” says the host.

Turns out, the boys have squirt guns — and yes, they take aim at Harvey.

Watch the hilarious parody below. Maya & Marty airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
