Carly Pope joins Suits for season 6
Carly Pope is suiting up for her next TV role. The Popular actress is joining the upcoming season of Suits in a guest role, USA Network announced Wednesday.
Pope will play Tara Messer, a perceptive commercial architect whom Louis (Rick Hoffman) hires. In the upcoming season 6, Louis will be forced to deal with a Wall Street trader named Stu Buzzini, played by Ian Reed Kessler. When Louis has a tough time dealing with Stu, he brings in Tara to help him keep the traders at bay.
In recent years, Pope snagged lead roles in two one-season shows: The Tomorrow People and Outlaw. She is best known for her lead role as Sam McPherson in the Ryan Murphy-created WB dramedy Popular, which aired from 1999 to 2001.
Season 6 of Suits will pick up where season 5 left off — with Harvey picking up the pieces of his defected lawfirm and Mike beginning his two year prison sentence. EW has your first look at Mike behind bars, ahead of the season 6 premiere Wednesday, July 13 at 9 p.m. ET on USA.
