Olivia Munn made her debut as Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse, but she hopes this won’t be the last of her character in the movie-verse. In a new interview, the actress spoke about her hopes for a team-up with Deadpool for an X-Force movie.

“That would be a really cool thing to do,” she said when asked by USA Today. “What [Ryan Reynolds] did with Deadpool was genius and I’m so excited for him. It would definitely be cool to see Deadpool and some of the other X-Men characters gather for an X-Force movie. I think that’s what the whole world is coming to — everybody unites together, right? It’s never just one character anymore. We all just become one movie.”

In the comics, Psylocke fought alongside the Merc with the Mouth as a member of X-Force, a strike team with a fiercer approach to protecting mutantkind than Xavier’s X-Men. Jeff Wadlow (Kick-Ass 2) was reportedly developing a script for a feature film treatment back in 2013. Adding more fire to the rumormill, Fox staked out a couple release dates for unannounced Marvel movies.

The studio formally announced films around New Mutants and Gambit, though the latter is delayed. So we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for Psylocke. At the very least, we know Munn can best Reynolds in a sword fight.
