Jeff Goldblum is so much more than just a movie star, and he proved that on Facebook Live Wednesday night when he broadcast a variety show that included jazz performances, games, and all the delightful rambling your heart could desire.

“I play this jazz music that drives all the kids crazy,” Goldblum said before sitting behind his piano to start his first performance of the night. The Independence Day star has put on jazz shows for years now, and his passion for that genre of music shone through during the livestream. He later welcomed Maiya Sykes, a former contestant on The Voice, to join him onstage to perform “Destination Moon.”

Between jazz performances, Goldblum also played games with the audience, including a trivia contest with facts about Independence Day. He also made a sandwich for Independence Day director Roland Emmerich toward the end.

The event raised money for Oceana and Conservation International, and varying degrees of donations earned audience members special rewards, including a chance to attend a VIP advanced screening of Independence Day: Resurgence.
