In the new horror film Abattoir, a real-estate reporter named Julia Talben (Jessica Lowndes from 90210) unearths an urban legend about a house being built from rooms where horrific tragedies have occurred. The investigation ultimately leads Talben and a detective, played by Joe Anderson (The Crazies), to the enigmatic Jebediah Crone (Sons of Anarchy star Dayton Callie) and the answer to the question: How do you construct a haunted house?

Abattoir (French for “slaughterhouse”) costars Lin Shaye (Insidious) and is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, whose credits include the first three Saw sequels and the cult horror-musical, Repo! The Genetic Musical. Abattoir, which is based on the Radical Publishing graphic novel series created by Bousman, will premiere on June 7 at the upcoming LA Film Festival, and will also play the following day.
