Parents, be careful what you wish for. That was the lesson driven home by Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke when she recently sat down with her folks to watch an action-packed — and slightly awkward — episode of the hit HBO fantasy.
As she recalled Monday during an appearance on Live! With Kelly, Clarke’s parents had been a bit underwhelmed by her storyline as Daenerys Targaryen of late. “Darling, you’re not doing much in this season,” they told her.
In response, Clarke urged them to watch GOT‘s explosive May 15 episode, “Book of the Stranger,” in which the Mother of Dragons triumphs over her Dothraki captors and walks naked through a raging fire.
“I ended up sitting them down and being like, ‘Let’s watch it’ — and then instantly regretting it,” Clarke recalled with a laugh. “My dad was like, ‘Again?'”
Indeed, Clarke has been in the buff on the show before, but she recently told EW, “I’d like to remind people the last time I took my clothes off was season 3. That was awhile ago. It’s now season 6. But this is all me, all proud, all strong. I’m just feeling genuinely happy I said ‘Yes.’ That ain’t no body double!”
