Patrick Fugit isn’t that innocent, naïve kid from Almost Famous anymore. He’s all grown up and starring in Outcast, a new excorcist drama from The Walking Dead‘s Robert Kirkman. The pilot episode made its debut during the SXSW Film Festival, and now you can catch all the scares online.

Cinemax debuted the pilot on YouTube ahead of the series premiere. Fugit plays Kyle Barnes, a tortured man who’s lived a life filled with demons possessing his loved ones. With the help of the Reverend Anderson (Philip Glenister), he sets out on a journey to find answers and regain his life.

Wrenn Schmidt (The Americans), David Denman (The Office), and Reg E. Cathey (House of Cards) also feature.

“We were definitely pushed to push boundaries,” Kirkman said during SXSW. “We never want to do anything gratuitous, but pushing boundaries and doing the unexpected is very freeing … I love my kids and sometimes I sit around and think, ‘What’s the worst thing that can happen?’”

Outcast, based on Kirkman’s comic, premieres on Cinemax June 3 at 10 p.m. ET.
