Fullscreen may have launched its SVOD platform on April 26, but it’s already making moves. Actually, it’s making Making Moves, a new dance drama that has a Step Up: The TV Show kind of vibe — and that’s a good thing.

The series, which premieres on May 25, follows aspiring dancer Ethan (Patrick Cook) as he moves to Los Angeles to launch his career. As you can see in the exclusive trailer above, the digital world proves to make the process even more challenging — yes, that means dance battles are afoot (you get it) — but at least he has his cousin Sammie (Raychel Weiner) and her crew to support him. Oh, and he has his killer moves, of course. Let’s not forget those.

If the names of those actor-dancers don’t sound familiar, the most important name involved in this production might: Two-time Emmy nominated So You Think You Can Dance choreographer Christopher Scott is helming all the fancy footwork. That also explains this moment in the trailer where Michael Jackson’s “Bad” meets badass.

Did we mention Scott worked on four of the five Step Up movies? That’s where you’d probably expect to see something like this:

Fullscreen is available via iPhone, iPad, select Android Phones and Chromecast for $4.99 per month. Other programs on the SVOD network include Electra Woman & Dyna Girl and Paul Scheer’s Filthy Preppy Teen$.
