Limitless canceled? CBS breaks silence
- TV Show
In the wake of CBS announcing its new fall schedule, the fate of freshman drama Limitless is still up in the air.
“Right now we’re in discussions with other potential buyers,” CBS chief Glenn Geller told reporters ahead of the network’s upfront presentation. That basically means CBS is looking for a new home for the series and will not confirm it’s canceled — yet.
The series, which stars Jake McDorman and Jennifer Carpenter, is a follow-up to Bradley Cooper’s 2011 film of the same name.
If canceled, Limitless would join other axed CBS series this season, Angel From Hell, CSI: Cyber, The Good Wife, Mike & Molly, Person of Interest, and Rush Hour.
Limitless averaged 9.7 million viewers and a 2.2 rating in the 18-49 demo, making it the highest rated show that wasn’t axed during the pre-upfronts purge.
