Frank Grillo’s next action thriller is headed to Netflix.

Netflix has acquired the exclusive rights to Wheelman, a new film written and directed by Jeremy Rush. In Wheelman, Grillo (The Purge: Anarchy, Captain America: Civil War) stars as a getaway driver who finds himself in a life-or-death situation after a bank robbery goes wrong and he has a limited time to both figure out who double-crossed him and save his family.

Joe Carnahan (The Grey) is on board to produce the film, which is set to hit Netflix in 2017.

“Netflix is literally reinventing the game in terms of distribution and the sheer number of subscribers they reach and the amount of viewers that will ultimately see Wheelman is really exciting to me,” Carnahan said in a press release.

Grillo added: “What Netflix and Ted Sarandos are allowing talent and independent film makers to do, is experience a freedom without the pressures of the conventional film model. I couldn’t be more excited to be part of this.”
